Founded in March 2025, Over & Above is an independent neighbourhood bar where we take our drinks seriously, but never ourselves. We offer delicious cocktails, wines & beers in a relaxed yet upmarket environment with friendly table service. Our menu focusses on signature & elevated classic cocktails, taking certain elements of the drinks over & above. We wanted our name to reflect not only our drinks & style of service, but also the physical layout of our venue, split across two floors hidden behind our bookcase entrance.
Owners Rich & Fran Hamer have decades of hospitality experience between them & this is their first venture, bringing table service & high quality cocktails to Harrogate.

The wonderful team behind Bramble, Edinburgh, will be taking over our first floor bar for the evening with their team slinging drinks from a one-night-only menu. Expect Scotland-themed drinks, music & a night to remember!
Bramble has been consistently featured in the UK Top 50 Cocktail Bars list year after year & even featured in the World’s 50 Best Cocktail Bars. There will be some space for walk-ins but we strongly recommend booking to avoid missing out!
